How to Stop a Modern “Dark Age”
Published Apr 29, 2026
The dark ages were aptly named because… well, they were dark. Very dark.
Feudalism reigned, people were not allowed to question their leaders, and life was hard.
It’s easy to look at those times and ask, “How did people ever let that happen to themselves?”
Well, in a lot of ways, we are seeing the answer to that question unfold in real time. Slowly (or in some cases fast) rights are stripped from us. This was done throughout history in a variety of different ways, which I will highlight here in this article.
I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me…
Have you ever walked somewhere in public and got a feeling that someone was watching you? I’m sure you have. This is a very real and primal sense that all humans have. There have been countless studies that have proven people have a “sixth” sense to knowing when they are being watched. Even if they are being watched through just a camera. And just like the double-slit light experiment, humans also change their activity when they are being observed.
Just think about your coworker who slacks off until your boss comes into the room. He knows that when he’s alone he can get away with being lazy, but when his boss comes in he needs to tighten up and get back to work. And of course, if you’re the boss, you don’t want your employee slacking off, right? If you could watch them at all times (and have them know that they’re being watched), that’d make sense, right? That’d help with productivity? Right…right?
Well, that might work in a business context, where both parties consent to this and can terminate whenever they want. But once you put this system in a government context, that’s when things get scary.
If we look at the Dark Ages, there are countless ways that people have used surveillance against their people. Rats, informants, and interrogators would turn people against each other. Corrupt leaders would weaponize and bastardize religions for their personal gain. They perverted holy doctrine and would use tools like saying “God’s always watching“ in order to hijack holy authority and effectively enforce a panopticon for their rules. (Side note: I am not saying anything negative about religion here, just highlighting how corrupt humans can abuse it for power games.)
And for context, the term “panopticon” originated from a prison design, where a guard tower was placed in the middle of cells, and the cells surrounded it. This allowed guards to constantly view every prisoner at all times. But here’s the catch: the vision was one-way. Meaning, even if you were a prisoner, you’d have no way of knowing you were being watched or not. And that means you HAVE to operate on the assumption that you are watched at all times.
This is an extremely effective way to sap free will. Another is isolation…

Isolation and Betrayal (Baby, don’t do it to me!)
Typically when people hear the word “isolation,” they think “social isolation.” But there are four key forms of isolation that are used and weaponized by powerseekers. I’ll break them down here –
- Social
- Destruction of Family/Friend Values
- A very notorious example of this is when communists used informants in their systems. They intentionally destroyed family values, friendships, and forced reliance on the state.
- I’ve heard many firsthand stories of this in Hungary. Families and friends were trained to snitch on each other (out of fear of their family/friend setting them up as a test.)
- Black Identities
- In China, if your score is low enough, you will become blacklisted, effectively making you a contagious social leper. Anyone that chooses to interact with you will be punished (through their social credit system.)
- An extension of this is punishing your family or kids for your actions (i.e, speaking out against the government, and then your KID gets blacklisted.)
- Destruction of Family/Friend Values
- Financial
- Loss of Opportunity
- With a low enough score, you will no longer be able to get loans; you might get demoted at work. With smart dynamic pricing, you may pay for more for the same item than someone else. You may no longer be allowed to shop at certain stores or spend money on certain items.
- Loss of Assets
- Freezing or seizure of your assets (and your ability to earn.)
- This is not fiction. This is happening right now. In 2022, the Canadian government illegally froze assets of peaceful protestors. This is also reportedly happening currently in Ireland as we speak.
- Freezing or seizure of your assets (and your ability to earn.)
- Loss of Opportunity
- Geographic
- Carbon Scoring
- Once you reach a low enough score, you can face travel restrictions. You will be restricted on what type of car you can have and whether you can use any form of public transport or not.
- If you follow this down the rabbit hole, they can place you in house arrest or even geofence parts of your city/world.
- Carbon Scoring
- Information
- Echo chambers
- Freedom of speech is stripped, and all that can be heard are propaganda talking points.
- Removal of religion
- Earlier I mentioned how corrupt leaders in the past perverted religion for personal gain. That panopticon example I used worked, because God is above all. Tyrants fear religion because they are not at the top of the chain.
- Countries like China remove religion as a way to remain the “highest priority” for their citizens.
- Echo chambers
All of these are designed to make people feel powerless, hopeless, afraid, and complacent. They are designed to make you feel like you do not have a chance at breaking such a complete system.
Self-Appointed Leaders Have a “God Complex”
If you’re part of this newsletter and aware of what’s going on in the world, you should not be surprised at all by what I’m about to say – the self-appointed leaders of the world have a “God complex.” They want to watch your every move and judge it. They want to choose what is good and bad and punish you if you disagree with them. They want you to worship them. They act on their own accord without asking you what you want.
This can be clearly seen with people like Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab, Yuval Harari (or anyone at the WEF.) The list could go on and on. But here’s the key: they’re building a house of cards. They want to pummel your morale into the ground until you give up. Until you willingly give them your hands and say “Alright, cuff me.”
And by not doing your part, by not standing up for truth… you are giving them this power. Complacency is surrender.
All About Free Speech – Age of Enlightenment
For years, Glenn and I have been educating people about the surveillance state that they are creating. With modern technology, all of the examples I mentioned get “10xed.” Now, everything is connected to a digital framework.
Their first goal is to lock down the internet. We have seen this through their “Online Safety Acts” and the random globally coordinated march towards Digital IDs, and CBDCS (or state-stablecoins.)
Once they have control of the internet (AKA they force digital IDs on everyone.) Then they can begin the largest censorship campaign known to man. To the point that you will not hear any opposing viewpoints -just state-approved slop.
If you do speak out, you will quickly realize it’s like screaming into an empty hallway. Not to mention, you’ll be punished for it (see the isolation section.)
So, what can we do? Is it game over? Their system is so powerful, right?
Wrong, what they are setting up is a house of cards. All we have to do is reject their plans.
I mean, it’s not rocket science; we existed without this technology before, and we can again. And no, I’m not saying that we need to become Amish. In fact, we can continue to use modern technology but instead focus on liberty and privacy.
Gareth Icke explained the entire situation very well – if a Social Credit System is a pizza, then Digital ID is the dough. We must reject DigitalID at all costs. This is the hill to die on. (Not a call to violence; I believe this can and should be done legally. Because THEY are the ones breaking the law, violating our God-given rights, and the Constitution.)
And remember, there is no “end.” Even if they roll out digital IDs, even if it looks like it’s “over.” It’s not. Why? Truth is ultimate. It is a powerseeker’s biggest fear. They spend their life running, hiding, lying, and trying to create the most elaborate system to get around it. But the dark ages end. They always end.
Truth is the light. Truth is freedom of speech. That’s why the dark ages ended with an age of enlightenment.
Right Action (80/20 for Privacy)
The next steps you take are very important. First things first, you need to get your house in order, and by that I mean – cut off the flow of data. It doesn’t matter what data they already have. That will quickly expire and turn sour. They constantly need new data for this system to work.
This is a HUGE step. You can’t control everyone else, but you can control yourself. And if enough people do it, their system crumbles.
But here is an important key I want to point out with getting private online – and it’s a bone that I have to pick with the privacy community. The topic of privacy can be hard for beginners to get into because there are a lot of “tech” elitists. They say it has to be perfect, you need to do everything like this or like that. All that does is hinder growth and stop new people from joining. And to be honest, some of this could be by design to make the topic of privacy hard to approach (and that’s why we do what we do!)
I prefer to look at privacy with the 80/20 Pareto principle. We need to focus on what matters. By taking the core foundational privacy steps, you will see a HUGE difference in a small amount of time. Then, once you have achieved this… switch your focus.
WHAT!? The privacy guy is telling me to only go so far? That’s correct. You can go the whole 9 yards, and try to become completely anonymous if you’re willing to put in the time. But like I said, once you get to a certain point… the only person you are helping in that situation is you.
Instead, I recommend that you get to the “critical mass” point in your own privacy journey, and once you’re there, pivot ALL of your focus on getting the word out and educating others.
Why? Because no software will prevent you from being sent to a gulag. You need to stop tyranny before it can ever get to that stage. And no, there is no political savior riding in on a white horse like Gandalf coming to save you. You have to do it yourself.
Love, Not Fear.
Truth is a hard pill to swallow. It can make you scared. That’s why awareness is just the first step. Some people get lost at step 1 and are never able to live a life without fear. When you see truth for what it is, it can be hard not to get paralyzed.
So, let me tell you the truth… the world is ending. It’s been ending ever since it started. People have been corrupt since day one, and they always will be. This planet is not heaven; it is designed for illusions, for challenges, and ultimately to teach you how to grow.
Out of all of the tools in a powerseeker’s kit, the most powerful is fear. They want you dependent. They want you reactive. But you don’t have to give it to them.
Over time, I’ve learned that you do not find the light by looking into the dark. Instead, hold true to the core principles that exist. Truth is simple; that’s why it “en-lighten’s”.
So with all of that said, please take a moment and figure out your own 80/20 rules for liberty and privacy. What is the next step you can take right now that will make you more free (and preferably get others involved too!)
I want to finish this by saying a sincere thank you. We receive hundreds of messages a day, and they really bring me so much joy. I’m extremely grateful that you care about this issue and also that you are following Glenn and me on this journey.
Do it for love and liberty, not fear.
Thank you!
